How do I get started at CrossFit Romsey?

Congratulations!  The fact that you are reading this means you're well on your way to kick-starting a new health and fitness journey. 

We understand the challenges of starting something new like CrossFit.  It is scary and if you have researched CrossFit you will have undoubtedly seen lots of really fit and strong guys and girls lifting lots of weights.  They are the minority.  CrossFit is available to all and that is the beauty of it - everyone can come to CrossFit Romsey and make progress in a friendly, fun and supportive environment.

 

We have  a number of ways to get started at CrossFit Romsey.

CrossFit Drop-In/Taster Session.

If you have tried CrossFit before; at CrossFit Romsey or another facility you are welcome to come along to a drop-in session.  Please contact us before booking in to discuss your previous training and ensure that it is suitable to drop-in.  We will discuss what is planned that day and make sure you are confident with the movements.

CrossFit Basics.

We run a CrossFit Basics class on a Monday and Wednesday at 18:30.  This is a great introduction in to CrossFit.  We run CrossFit Basics alongside a standard CrossFit class and keep the movements aligned as much as possible to give a good feeling for what a class is like.  The primary difference is that the intensity is reduced and there is closer guidance from the coaches to ensure perfect form and correct movements.

CrossFit Legends.

CrossFit Legends is focused on movement and mobility first.  Inactivity, injury or illness can lead to a loss of muscle, strength, mobility and general function so this program will help regain this and improve your overall well-being.  Use CrossFit Legends to help you regain full control of your body and start moving and feeling better!

In addition to CrossFit, we have other options or getting involved and beginning a healthier lifestyle.

Open Gym

Its not just CrossFit here at CrossFit Romsey and we understand CrossFit may not be for everyone.  We have fantastic facilities and lots of space so offer an Open Gym for those that want to train in their own way, whether that is power-lifting, bodybuilding, cardio focused or a little of everything.  The equipment is available for use throughout our opening hours.

Sunday Fitness for all!

Sunday mornings our members meet for a group run at 9am.  This includes a 6-7km run and a 3km run/walk for those who are building their running abilities.

There is also a rowing class where we will take you through a fantastic workout and improve your rowing technique on our Concept2 rowers.

Running and rowing do not require membership.  The run is free and all are welcome and the row incurs a drop-in fee.  You can book on to both using TeamUp at the link below.
