CFR Introduces Rowing Classes

Its been a busy month for CrossFit Romsey members, Chris and Georgie. They have both passed their CrossFit Level 1 Trainer Course and attended a Go Row Indoor, British Rowing workshop.

Chris and Georgie are both experienced endurance athletes, competing in triathlons and other endurance events around the world. They are both very strong in running, cycling, swimming and enthusiastic indoor rowers.

Chris has given the Concept II rowers at CrossFit Romsey a detailed service and now he and the rowers are ready to launch some new rowing classes. These sessions will be 45mins and will look at various aspects including your set up on the rower and rowing technique to get you rowing more efficiently for a great workout. Classes combine indoor rowing with circuit based exercises. These will include intervals such as Tabata sets, varying intensity levels and row circuits. The circuits are mainly body weight exercises (e.g. squats, lunges, planks, crunches) performed on or adjacent to your rower and focus on developing a stronger core & leg drive. Some classes include rowing to music to make for a fun and all round effective indoor rowing experience.

The rowing classes will start Sunday 22nd September at 10:30 and are open to members (included in membership) and non-members for a drop in fee of £5 per session (4 week introductory offer). As we get an indication of demand, more classes will be opened up during the week.
